Summer 2006 was full with different from my others. That summer I choosed to work unusuall summerjob for lavian girl- door-to-door book seller in USA.
Before I subscribe for The Southwestern companies student programm, I didn`t realize what this summer will be for reall! My student manager had told so much fun and cool things about the summer and that job. But realistics was different! In first week we had a trainings, where we had studied how to do aproach, what to do in different kind of situations with families. Specific was that we were going with our books to families with childrens - we sold children books and encyclopidies.
When I got on bookfield I understand "The summer wont be easy!" Through this summer I met so many different people with different lifestories - Jim who was living alone with his daughter Carry and parrot; Karry- the mother who was raising her own children and adopt ones as well; Mister Roger, who had an amazing stories; and ofcourse my landlords, who gave me a place were to leave in spite of they have 5 kids.
In this summer I was working 13 hours a day, 6 days in week with heavy bookbag on my shoulders. My bike several times broke down, one have stolen, I had a car and bike crash, I have felt from bike because of riding in dark evenings. For two weeks I couldn`t found the leaving place. I was working ir 4th of July, it was awefull!
BUT!!! I`m pretty sure that this job and experience give ab great buisness and comunication skills. Those people who that job are doing for 5 and 7 summers, (believe, there are lot of them) will be great leaders and buisness person. Evan with ones summer expierence person can see how strong is his/her characteristic. This tough times are giving a great skills and knowledges!
